OSCAR RODRIGUEZ GORRIZ

Oscar Rodríguez Górriz is a Mexican filmmaker graduated from the UCLAx Directing Program.

In 2010, when insecurity and violence began to grow, he and another nine directors created AMOR DEL REGIO (2011), a feature film made by 10 short stories about love that highlighted the assets of their hometown.  AMOR DEL REGIO was screened in several Film Festivals in Mexico and  won “Best Feature Film” in the Monterrey International Film Festival.

 

His short films has been in more than 60 Film Festivals around the world.

Some of them are:

DORIS (2016) - Sold to the DirectTV channel ShortsHD and Official Selection of over 40 Film Festivals, including DC Shorts, Catalina Film Festival, New Filmmakers Los Angeles, between others. Winner "Best Comedy Short" in Viva Latino Film Festival, Winner "Best Comedy Short" in Marina Del Rey Film Festival, Winner "Best Actress" in Festival Internacional Castilla-La Mancha, Winner "Best Short Film" in Festival Sayulita.
 

ETERNAL VENDETTA (2014) - Winner “Best Foreign Film”, “Best Actress” and “Best Actress – Audience Award” in Los Angeles IU Film Festival, Winner "Best Dramatic Actress" in Georgia Latino Fim Festival, Official Selection of over 20 film festivals including LA Short Fest, Monterrey International Film Festival and Oaxaca Film Festival.

YOUR DAY (2013) - Official Selection of Toluca International Film Festival, Winner of Render 30th Short Film Competition.

 

Oscar is in development stage of his feature screenplays WHISKEY 25 (optioned) and DRY LAND.
